ROLE DETAILS
My client is looking for a Service and Support Engineer to join their Eindhoven-based team. This role involves managing system installations, maintenance, and upgrades for metal additive manufacturing systems, serving as a key link between customers and internal teams like R&D, engineering, and sales.
You’ll oversee system preparation, logistics, installation, and training at customer sites, followed by ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and support to ensure optimal performance. Initial training with the operations team will give you in-depth knowledge of our systems, enabling you to deliver exceptional technical service and customer satisfaction.
• Manage and carry out system installations at customer sites, ensuring final acceptance.
• Deliver comprehensive training for operators and technicians.
• Provide first-line support for systems, both remotely and on-site when necessary.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and resolve problems to maintain operation.
• Assist customers with scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Set up and oversee remote monitoring tools and issue-tracking systems.
• Open to frequent travel, up to 50% of the time.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to perform under pressure.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Hands-on experience with high-tech systems, including installation or servicing.
- Basic understanding of control technology and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with remote service tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of FAT, SAT, and principles of design for testability, assembly, and serviceability.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to retrieve and apply technical information.
- Experienced in documenting technical findings for various stakeholders.
- Practical experience in delivering user training.
- Familiarity with Beckhoff PLC software is an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical Engineering, Control or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Proficient in English; additional fluency in Dutch, German, or French is a plus.
