ROLE DETAILS

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Test and Reliability Engineer to join my clients Printhead Development team in either Berlin or Cambridge. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of their ultra-high viscosity printheads through rigorous testing and analysis.

EXPERIENCE

  • Translate marketing requirements into specific reliability goals for the printhead and its components.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and protocols to assess printhead reliability and performance.
  • Design and implement test fixtures and setups that simulate real-world operating conditions.
  • Conduct reliability tests, including accelerated life testing, environmental testing, and stress testing.
  • Analyse test data to identify potential product failures and areas for improvement.
  • Quantify printhead lifespan using statistical analysis and define appropriate test plans.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to integrate reliability requirements into product development.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test documentation, including procedures, reports, and specifications.
  • Participate in failure analysis and root cause investigations to address reliability issues.
  • Experience with reliability software tools (e.g., Weibull analysis, reliability prediction software) is a plus.
  • Experience in Hardware testing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in reliability testing and engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Experience in hardware testing.
  • Hands-on engineering skills with the ability to devise, set up, and run tests, as well as proactively develop equipment and methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead technicians and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
