ROLE DETAILS

My client is seeking a skilled designer with a Diploma/Degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or machine construction, coupled with a proven track record of approximately 10 years in machine and plant design. Joining their R&D team, you will play a pivotal role in conceiving, developing, and prototyping new products. Their innovative products integrate mechanical, electronic, optical, and software expertise, necessitating collaboration across functions to deliver robust, functional solutions.

  • Propose design solutions aligned with product specifications to optimize design timelines and costs, coordinating closely with electrical/automation counterparts and manuals throughout project phases.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation including assemblies, drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Execute 2D/3D mechanical design tasks for machines and components using SolidWorks, developing models and detailed drawings.
  • Conduct research on new materials and construction techniques.
  • Manage projects autonomously, including sourcing suppliers and evaluating technical solutions available in the market.

EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks.
  • Understanding of Machinery Directive and mechanical design standards and norms.
  • Background in structured automotive industry companies.
  • Experience with robust design methodologies (FMEA, DFA, DFM, VRP)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience defining tolerances, materials, and surface finishes, with knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, assembly).
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Prototyping aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Proficiency in the Office suite.
