ROLE DETAILS

My client seeks a motivated Business Developer specialising in Space Products & Services, based in Italy. This role will spearhead all business development initiatives related to satellite and ground system hardware and software. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership and the Business Development team to drive company growth.

  • Identify and cultivate new client opportunities within the satellite industry.
  • Articulate expertise in satellite and ground hardware/software to prospective clients.
  • Secure Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from aerospace/satellite prime contractors and integrators for new space missions and programs.
  • Formulate winning strategies and collaborate internally to execute business objectives.
  • Lead or contribute to proposal efforts, crafting technical, management, cost, and schedule content.
  • Nurture ongoing client relationships to foster future business ventures.
  • Travel as necessary for business engagements and industry events.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with the aerospace/satellite sector and satellite subsystems.
  • Proficiency in business development, sales, and program management.
  • Experience in satellite flight or ground hardware product development, manufacturing, or sales.
  • Experience in proposal development, writing, and capture processes, including independent completion of cost and technical proposals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, a related technical discipline, or business.
  • Understanding of industry-specific technical and quality standards.
  • Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written), including strong presentation abilities.

  • Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, related engineering fields, or business.
